Account Manager — Hospital & Retail Channels
Our client is a Canadian medical device and pharmaceutical company delivering better health outcomes through practical, high-quality solutions. They support healthcare providers coast-to-coast and move fast to solve real problems. The corporate culture: People First, Always; Quick & Nimble; Solutions Focused.
Why this role matters
You’ll be the growth engine for our hospital and retail channels. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who treats a territory like their own business: you’ll build pipeline, close accounts, shape commercial strategy, and help our client scale — with direct visibility to the COO and senior leadership.
What you’ll own (day-to-day)
– Own territory & channel strategy: design and run your playbook to win new logos and expand existing accounts.
– Full-cycle account management: prospecting, discovery, negotiation, closing, and post-sale relationship building.
– Drive results: track performance vs. targets, manage forecasting, and deliver regular updates to Finance and Commercial Ops.
– Build trust: be the reliable partner for hospitals, retail chains, distributors, and purchasing groups. Lead business reviews and surface opportunities.
– Market intelligence: stay on top of shortages, procurement trends, and product needs. Feed customer insights into launches, RFPs, and BD efforts.
– Represent our client at conferences and partner meetings — you’ll be the public face of our commercial growth.
Who you are
– Degree in Business, Health Sciences, or similar (MBA is an asset).
– 5+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare account management (hospital + retail channels).
– If you have 3–5 years in a strong startup/enterprise with a proven sales record, we want to talk with you to learn more!
– Deep knowledge of Canadian hospital procurement, retail distribution, and supply-chain basics.
– Entrepreneurial — resourceful, biased to action, and able to build processes from scratch.
– Relationship-first communicator; comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels.
– Organized, numbers-driven, and at ease with CRM, Excel, and virtual collaboration. French is an asset.
– Able and willing to travel across Canada.
Compensation & perks
– Competitive salary with performance-based bonus (details shared during interview).
– Compressed work weeks and flexible hybrid schedule.
– Comprehensive benefits, training budget, and quarterly team events.
– High visibility to leadership, quick promotion paths for top performers, and meaningful work improving patient access.
