About Our Client: Our client is a national leader in the insurance industry.
Position Scope:
Our client is looking for a Director, Marketing & Sales Enablement, who will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to developing and executing strategies that empower the national and regional sales teams, enhancing the customer experience and driving market share growth. Through sales enablement programs, targeted marketing initiatives, high-profile events, and optimized sales tools, you will ensure a best-in-class approach to sales and marketing operations.
Responsibilities:
People Leadership and Influence
- Through effective leadership, foster a collaborative, proactive, engaged, and adaptable team culture while influencing key stakeholders across the business.
- Provide coaching, feedback and professional development opportunities to the team to ensure ongoing development of their knowledge and skills.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics and operations, to ensure ongoing alignment of customer initiatives.
Marketing & External Communications
- Develop and execute national marketing and communications plans, including digital and social media initiatives, which support the business strategy and elevate brand awareness.
- Champion a customer-centric marketing approach that delivers meaningful value to customers through targeted messaging, engagement, and content-driven communication and experiences.
Sales, Product and Marketing Alignment
- Partner with the sales leadership team to implement value-driven marketing initiatives that align with sales objectives, address customer needs, and support overall commercial strategy.
- Support the implementation of a sales methodology and governance framework that establishes clear processes and consistent practices to guide the sales teams and broader business.
- Partner with Sales, Risk and Underwriting leadership to establish road maps to ensure the deployment of new or existing product changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
Sales Training and Development
- Lead the development and execution of ongoing sales training programs and tools to equip the national and regional sales team with the skills, knowledge, resources needed to maximize their effectiveness.
Customer Events
- Oversee and manage various high-profile customer events in collaboration with the national and regional sales teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing return on investment.
Performance and Process Optimization
- Leverage data and analytics to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, collaborate with sales leadership to identify skill and process gaps, and recommend solutions to drive efficiency and sustained adoption.
- Support the implementation of sales technology solutions, such as CRM systems and analytics tools, to streamline processes and drive productivity.
- Stay abreast of industry’s best practices, emerging trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated success in executing impactful marketing strategies, sales enablement initiatives, and sales training programs, with a strong foundation in leveraging processes, methodologies and technologies to drive measurable results.
- Effective people leader with the ability to coach, mentor and motivate others to achieve results.
- Proven success with CRM tools, sales enablement platforms and analytics software (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI).
- Superior relationship management skills with the ability to effectively influence internal stakeholders, and leadership.
- Proven success in managing multiple priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Results oriented with a strong customer focused attitude.
- Resilient and continues to challenge the norm and looks for ways to drive results.
- Ability to lead and deliver projects with stakeholders from across the business.
- English / French bilingual is an asset.
Education and Experience:
- University degree.
- 7+ years of sales marketing or sales enablement leadership experience.
- Experience within the financial services industry considered a strong asset.
