Operations Manager

On behalf of our client in the healthcare industry, we are looking for an Operations Manager in Halifax, NS. The Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the clinic, supervising operations and process improvements, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for some HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors and evaluates operations. Develops action plans to maximize center efficiency and supervise the implementation of process improvements.
- Accountable for the direction of all personnel functions including hiring, onboarding, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions and termination and the maintenance of all personnel records.
- Accountable for the adequacy of inventory of all goods and supplies necessary for center operations and oversee ordering goods as needed.
- Assure center employees maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition and all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Submits timely and accurate reports on a daily/weekly basis or as requested.
- Maintains thorough familiarity and ensures compliance with provincial and federal regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).
- Builds rapport with customers to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center to support long-term business.
- Works with CEO in the preparation of annual budget and KPIs.
- Reports monthly on spend vs budget.
- Identifies regulatory deficiencies and in collaboration with the Quality Manager implements immediate corrective action.
- Minimizes center liability through constant risk management review. Investigates all unsafe situations and complaints and institutes corrective/preventive action.
- Establishes and maintains the ability to perform all tasks within the center; administrative and laboratory technician roles when the occasional need arises.
- Performs other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate Brings:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Business, or Nursing.
- 3 or more years of experience in a management role, preferably in a medical or healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in a medical setting, preferably in a cGMP regulated environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
- The ability to foster an environment of collaboration and reliability.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
