A global consulting leader is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Architect to join their team in a high-impact role focused on large-scale data strategy and architecture design across financial services and insurance clients. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments, excels in client-facing engagements, and brings deep expertise in modern data platforms, architecture frameworks, and cloud technologies.
Overview:
This position will play a pivotal role in designing enterprise data and analytics solutions that drive business transformation. You’ll partner closely with business and technology stakeholders—internally and client-side—to shape data strategies, define architectures, and lead solution design for large-scale, multi-year initiatives. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with hands-on architecture work and high-level strategic conversations with C-level executives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the design and roadmap for enterprise-wide data and analytics architectures.
- Engage senior client stakeholders to articulate architecture strategy and value proposition.
- Architect and implement large-scale data platforms using commercial and open-source technologies.
- Drive solution development across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Lead data modeling and architecting efforts using techniques like dimensional modeling, data vault, and data warehousing best practices.
- Deliver platform engineering strategies to support analytics and data product teams.
- Leverage technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Talend, dbt, and virtualization tools to deliver scalable solutions.
- Support pre-sales and business development by shaping strategic data transformation opportunities and contributing to proposals.
- Collaborate on internal and client-facing architecture reviews to ensure best practices and alignment with business goals.
- Drive multi-year digital transformation roadmaps and enterprise data strategies.
- Work closely with client CXOs and Data & Analytics leaders to build data-driven enterprise capabilities.
What We’re Looking For:
- 18+ years of overall experience, with 12+ years in Data & Analytics architecture and solutioning.
- Proven track record of architecting large-scale data solutions in financial services or insurance sectors.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture patterns, data governance, and emerging trends.
- Strong background in cloud-native data solutions, with 2–3+ years of recent cloud architecture experience.
- Hands-on experience leading data modernization and platform transformation efforts.
- Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics tooling (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, dbt).
- Executive presence and ability to engage with senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CDOs, and business unit leaders.
- Experience in pre-sales, consulting engagements, and shaping multi-million-dollar data opportunities is a strong asset.
- Prior experience in a CDO/CDAO or equivalent leadership role is considered a plus.
Soft Skills & Leadership:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic thinker with a consultative mindset and strong business acumen.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, drive consensus, and deliver enterprise impact.
- Collaborative leadership style and ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
Note: Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted within two weeks. We encourage applicants to explore other opportunities that may align with their experience.
