This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll build and lead the finance function, transitioning the company to a more structured, scalable financial operation.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Drive financial transformation with scalable systems and smart reporting.
- Shape and execute financial strategies to fuel growth and acquisitions.
- Partner with the CEO to deliver data-backed insights that guide business decisions.
- Define and track KPIs to boost performance and profitability.
Accounting Excellence
- Lead daily accounting and ensure accurate, timely financials.
- Shift operations to accrual-based accounting in line with best practices.
- Implement internal controls to strengthen financial discipline.
- Manage month-end and year-end close with full compliance.
Planning & Cash Management
- Build dynamic budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
- Track revenue, margins, and expenses—conduct variance analysis to stay on target.
- Lead cash flow forecasting and optimize working capital.
Compliance & External Relations
- Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and audit standards.
- Collaborate with auditors, tax pros, and regulators.
- Maintain solid banking and investor relationships.
Growth & M&A Support
- Drive due diligence, valuations, and risk assessments for acquisitions.
- Integrate acquired businesses into financial systems.
- Analyze financial impact of new locations and expansion.
Process & Tech Improvement
- Upgrade systems and automate financial workflows.
- Launch structured procurement and expense controls.
- Develop real-time dashboards for smarter, faster decisions.
Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, or MBA in Finance/Accounting preferred.
- 5+ years in financial leadership, ideally in scaling companies.
- Deep knowledge of accrual accounting, reporting, and controls.
- Experience in oil and gas or safety would be considered an asset but not essential
- Proven experience improving financial processes in fast-paced environments.
- Skilled with ERP/accounting software and modeling tools.
- M&A and integration experience a strong plus.
- Bonus: experience in training, education, or compliance-driven sectors.

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $130 -150K with performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits program in retirement plans.
