Director of Business Development – North America
Our client, an innovative technology company serving the mining and metals industry, is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead revenue generation and market expansion across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
This is an integral role where you will drive regional growth, manage key customer relationships, and lead a small commercial team. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape go-to-market strategy, penetrate new accounts, and build long-term partnerships in a highly technical, B2B environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the regional business development strategy with a focus on revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities across North America, developing trusted relationships with key decision-makers.
- Lead a small team and actively manage high-value customer engagements.
- Align technical resources and internal stakeholders to meet customer needs and close complex sales.
- Implement sales management best practices, metrics, and tools to ensure accountability and performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to align marketing and business development efforts with company-wide objectives.
- Ensure a high standard of service delivery and client satisfaction.
What You Bring
- Experience in B2B business development; background in mining, industrial tech, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
- A strong track record of closing deals and exceeding growth targets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing sales or commercial teams.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with executive-level stakeholders.
- Comfort navigating complex, technical sales cycles.
