Summit Search Group is excited to partner with our client, Pitura Seeds. We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. Pitura Seeds is Western Canada’s largest family-owned pedigreed seed processing facility, with a proud heritage spanning 100 years and three generations. Each year, the company grows and contracts tens of thousands of acres of high-quality pulses, cereals, and oilseeds. Situated just 25 minutes south of Winnipeg, Pitura Seeds is recognized as one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing companies.
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, you will drive revenue growth by fostering strong relationships with customers, dealers, and internal teams while supporting the commercialization of NK soybean and corn genetics.
What You’ll Do:
The Agriculture Sales Representative is plays a critical role in driving sales and supporting customer relationships for the NK brand. This position is responsible for working directly with both farmer customers and retail partners to promote and sell NK soybean and corn genetics. Additionally, the Sales Representative collaborates closely with the Agronomist to ensure customers
receive the technical support and agronomic insights they need to maximize performance. This role also involves working with the NK Marketing team to target specific market segments and
enhance brand presence.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and retail partners to drive NK sales.
- Identify new sales opportunities and expand the brand’s presence in the region.
- Conduct farm visits, meetings, and presentations to educate customers on NK products.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage customer interactions, track sales progress, and monitor accounts.
- Collaborate with the NK Agronomist to provide technical support and agronomic insights.
- Support product demonstration plots and Regional Variety Trials (RVTs) to showcase NK genetics.
- Work closely with NK Marketing to execute sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales approaches.
- Attend field days, trade shows, and industry events to promote NK products and strengthen brand awareness.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in sales and agribusiness, preferably in seed sales or crop inputs.
- Strong ability to develop relationships with farmers, retailers, and key industry partners.
- Technical agronomic knowledge or a willingness to learn about soybean and corn genetics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage customers effectively.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and digital tools for managing customer interactions.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
