Summit Search Group is excited to partner with our client, Pitura Seeds. We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. Pitura Seeds is Western Canada’s largest family-owned pedigreed seed processing facility, with a proud heritage spanning 100 years and three generations. Each year, the company grows and contracts tens of thousands of acres of high-quality pulses, cereals, and oilseeds. Situated just 25 minutes south of Winnipeg, Pitura Seeds is recognized as one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing companies.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will drive revenue growth by fostering strong relationships with customers, dealers, and internal teams while supporting the commercialization of NK soybean and corn genetics.
What You’ll Do:
The Agriculture Sales Manager is responsible for leading the NK brand sales efforts across Western Canada, ensuring strong market positioning, customer engagement, and business growth. This role will oversee the NK Sales Team, including two NK Sales Representatives and an NK Agronomist, working closely with the Director of Sales to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive market share and revenue growth.
- Lead, mentor, and support the NK Sales Team, setting sales targets and monitoring performance.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, retailers, and distribution partners.
- Support customer engagement through farm visits, field days, and technical presentations.
- Collaborate with the NK Agronomist to provide technical sales support and product positioning guidance.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and agronomy, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in agriculture or seed sales.
- Proven experience in business development, sales strategy execution, and customer relationship management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to mentor and support a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with customers and distribution partners.
- Ability to analyze market trends and sales data to drive informed decision-making.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
- Willingness to travel across Western Canada as needed.
