Role Overview: The Internal Sales Engineer will provide inside technical support for one to three Field Sales Engineers and manage accounts for assigned customers. This entry-level position offers training and experiential learning with the potential to advance to a Field Sales Engineer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide technical selections and application support to assigned Field Sales Engineers.
- Customer Value: Deliver superior customer value by satisfying both met and unmet needs cost-effectively and efficiently. Promote solutions that enhance the Quality of Earnings by achieving sales growth without proportional cost increases.
- Sales Growth: Ethically achieve sales and profit growth targets through rigorous sales process management, including lead and opportunity management.
- Utilize a consultative-selling approach primarily via online or telephone interactions, with occasional field visits in tandem with Field Sales Engineers.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets.
- Record accurate reasons for wins or losses in the CRM, including order value or best estimates, to understand win-loss performance better.
- Use established practices to produce reliable sales and sales order forecasts.
- Proactively manage customer pricing in response to changes in input costs to ensure sustainable profitable growth.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a technical discipline is a definite asset.
- 2-3 years of experience in technical inside application sales roles preferred.
- Experience in technical applications such as process equipment, rotating equipment, or steam is a definite asset.
- Ability to present confidently and professionally.
- Strong listening skills.
- Good working knowledge of CRM systems and strong knowledge of Microsoft-based programs.
- Ability to travel 10-20%.
Compensation:
- Base salary: $70-85K
- Sales incentive bonus
