Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for managing accounts and growing sales from within your accounts? If you have an ability to build strong relationships and you possess Technical Knowledge in Commercial or Industrial HVAC/Mechanical/Refrigeration, I want to talk to you.

The successful Territory Manager, based in the Lower Mainland and will be responsible for maintaining and adding new customers. The Territory Manager will work within a team environment to pursue business opportunities for our client.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling additional services and project opportunities while growing existing accounts;
  • Pursue and close new preventative maintenance contracts;
  • Influencing and selling key business solutions in an effective, persuasive and professional manner to meet or exceed targets;
  • Under the direction of the Sales Director, develop detailed sales plans that support growth in specific market; segments by evaluating customer needs, market conditions and competitor analysis;
  • Completion of account and territory plans;
  • Reviewing estimates and proposals to ensure they are meeting client’s requirements;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring clients continue to have a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Increasing existing Client Preventative Maintenance coverage and ensuring Preventative Maintenance contracts are updated and maintained;
  • Making strategic decisions on prices/margins/fees while satisfying the clients ’requirements as well as the organization’s objectives;
  • Conducting reviews of accounts on a regular basis to evaluate clients’ demands and requirements;
  • Providing leads to the National Account/Business Development team;
  • Updating and maintaining CRM with current and accurate information.
  • Overnight travel 15-25%

Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling strategic programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect, negotiate and close new business;
  • 2+ years technical sales experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect, negotiate and close new business;
  • Post-secondary education or similar is an asset;
  • Trade knowledge and/or experience in HVAC, Refrigeration or Plumbing;
  • Highly developed organizational & planning skills, time management skills and written/oral communications skills.

  Skills & Competencies:

  • Professional, approachable and customer-service oriented;
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Skilled using Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint & Excel);
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and to meet or exceed sales targets
  •  Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce preferably);
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect, negotiate and close new business;
  • Post-secondary education in mechanical trades, HVAC, or a similar field is an asset.

You will be paid a base salary between 75-80K and your 1st year income will be in the range of 105-110K. A vehicle allowance, extended benefits, technology package and an RRSP contribution round out the compensation package.
