Our client is one of North America’s leading companies in automation and system integration. Reporting directly to the Western Regional Sales Manager, the role will be required to develop technical product knowledge, understand business best practices and develop technical sales expertise. The role will provide sales assistance / product information to customers and help to secure business opportunities in the Alberta region. This position can operate out of Calgary or Edmonton.
Responsibilities
- Develop variable frequency drive (VFD) business in the industrial, commercial, and institutional market
- Increase regional sales & profitability by achieving the goals set forth by the Sales Management Team
- Identify and solicit potential clients in Alberta
- Consult with clients to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in VFD’s, motor controls or directly related Technical Sales environment
- College/University graduates an asset however careful consideration will be given to prior experience
- Proficient computer skills including familiarity with CRM’s
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external individuals
- Demonstrate ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of the English language, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Professional, friendly, exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Provides service to both internal and external customers
- Ability to travel within the province of Alberta

Remuneration
Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $80-95K in addition to an aggressive commission structure targeting income in the first year between $120-125K commensurate upon experience. Second year income potential are targeted at $150K+. Automobile allowance and maintenance, full expenses and benefit program.
