Our client is a global specialist diabetes care company, dedicated to helping people living with diabetes. Their mission is to empower people living with diabetes through innovative solutions that simplify and improve their lives. They use their innovation and specialist expertise in diabetes to develop high quality solutions and tools that make a positive, daily difference for people with diabetes.
They are looking for a part-time National Sales Trainer to join their team based in Toronto, Ontario.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Conducting onboarding and orientation program for new reps and sales training workshops to familiarize new hires with products, tools, systems, policies and relevant programs
- Observing sales calls through in-person work-withs in the field with sales representatives and providing feedback both to the sales representative and respective Manager on observations, results and opportunities for development
- Structuring the training plan and conducting ongoing training for current representatives based on needs assessment, selling cycles and in accordance with business needs with input from the Regional Sales Director and Regional Sales Managers
- Assessing what the Canadian sales team needs to do differently and what capabilities this will require given evolving market dynamics, and making recommendations to senior management for areas to improve
- Recommending budget for training events and monitoring costs during the program
- Demonstrating and applying knowledge of all areas of the business/functions (e.g. marketing, trade, Business Operations, Human Resources) to learning and development solutions that increases effectiveness and credibility of sales representatives by adhering to adult learning principles and sound training design
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with all functional areas. Motivating sales team and ensuring adherence to highest standards of sales excellence and compliance to all organizational standards
- Staying updated with current market trends and the changing demands of the corporate sales environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of sales experience with demonstrated presentation and training skills and experience for a field-based sales force
- Minimum of 3 years experience in HealthCare industry, medical devices, preferably diabetes
- Demonstrated track record of high achievement. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences
- Demonstrated success working in a complex matrix environment where influencing is a core requirement
- Experience in workshop and meeting design and delivery is an asset
- Flexible hours required
- Bilingualism (French/English) preferred
