About Our Client: Our client has been designing, patenting and manufacturing some of the window industry’s most revolutionary window and door technology in Toronto. Our client is family-owned and 100% Canadian.
Position Scope:
Reporting to the President, the Installation Manage will manage all residential window & door installations throughout the GTA and southern Ontario. Specifically, the Installation Manager will manage the daily operations of 10-15 installation crews – making sure company procedures and best practices are followed at all times. The candidate must have experience working on residential and commercial construction projects, with specific experience in the window & door vertical. The Manager will also work in tandem with the production, installation, and service teams to report and advise on current, previous, and upcoming installations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct morning meetings with crews to discuss installations.
- Attend installation sites and evaluate crew performance, job status and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure staffing plans are forecast, updated and delivered to maximize customer service and meet service commitments.
- Measure, monitor and drive achievement of all Operational metrics and provide appropriate reporting and analysis.
- Coach and manage a team of installation professionals to maximize their performance, engagement and achievement of objectives.
- Partner and collaborate with other stakeholders to continually improve team performance.
- Maintain relationship with subcontractors.
- Deliver prompt and efficient resolution to customer inquiries/complaints.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Determined self-starter with a high degree of integrity, sense of urgency, passion for high performance and attention to detail who thrives working individually and in a team environment.
- Preferred supervisory or managerial experience overseeing a field operations team.
- Enthusiastic, self-driven, and willing to learn.
- Have great communication and management skills – managing a large amount of construction professionals and will have to keep them motivated, engaged, and accountable.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills – when not reviewing projects in the field, will be working with internal installation and production teams at corporate HQ.
- In-depth knowledge of residential home construction; including carpentry, framing, bricklaying, and moisture management.
- Daily travel – 2.5 hour radius from the GTA. Company vehicle and gas card is provided.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in residential window installation or a related construction vertical is required.
- Post secondary education is considered an asset.
