Summit Search Group has partnered with the second largest craft brewery here in BC, Parallel 49, to find a Group Marketing Manager. They are a dynamic and trendy organization that has truly made a mark on the craft beer industry and they are looking for someone passionate and engaging to join their team. Reporting to the President of the company, this individual will drive their Western Canada marketing strategy and execution for their beer and ready to drink (RTD) beverages.
This role will be based out of their Burnaby head office, with flexibility to work from home 1 day/week.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct SWOT analysis and analyze category data, including competitive set
- Develop pricing and limited time offer (LTO) LTO strategies to optimize brand performance and increase gross margin
- Develop brand health standards and implement corrective action when below expectations
- Control advertising and promotion (A&P) budgets (including LTOs) to keep contribution and gross margin on track
- Develop retail and on-premise trade programs & present to sales team for execution
- Develop, in conjunction with Sales Managers, monthly performance initiatives by province
- Chair monthly Marketing Planning Meetings with Sales management
- Administer consumer engagement through conventional, digital marketing and social media with KPI
- Liaison with Social Media contractors and brand ambassadors
- Develop new brand innovation with Production Team
- Ensure new brand innovation achieves costing and gross margin objectives
- Oversee art and packaging development and coordinate deliverables to meets on-time targets
- Collaborate in sales demand forecasting for production planning purposes
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years in beverage alcohol experience or 7+ years in consumer-packaged goods industry required
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in related field (business, marketing or communications) required
- Digital Marketing and Social Media knowledge and experience (analytics/strategy on engagement etc.) required
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe) required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Strong project management skills
- Proven time management skills, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Organized, able to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail including copywriting skills
- Proven ability to work within budgets
- Demonstrates a hands-on attitude and an attention to detail
- Experience in brand development an asset
- Preference with Google-Suite communication platform
