Our client is a successful distributor and service provider for a wide variety of electric motors and pumps. They are currently looking to fill a vacancy for an Electric Motor and Pump Repair Technician.
This position reports directly to the Operations Manager, primarily Monday to Friday business hours; 95% of calls are within Halifax Regional Municipality. In this position, your main responsibility would be the repair of electric motors and electrically driven pumps as a key member of this growing team. You must be able to troubleshoot equipment, provide on-site servicing and repair, and provide fantastic customer service!
To be successful in this role you should have 3+ years related experience in a similar capacity. You require strong knowledge of electric AC and DC motors and deep well pumps, heating circulating pumps, and water pumps. Experience in balancing motor rotors and conducting vibration analysis on-site and in the field would be considered an asset, as would the ability to rewind motors. This position will require onsite and offsite work; you must have a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract and criminal record. We are looking for candidates who are reliable and dependable with an attention to detail and quality. You must be able to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills and of course be customer service oriented.
