Summit Search Group is recruiting an experienced Commercial Lines Service Manager to their client’s Insurance team. The ideal candidate is an individual who will lead co-ordination of commercial lines service operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency, while promoting an office environment that fosters team spirit through interactive decision making and team involvement.

An expanding insurance brokerage in Southern Manitoba, has been providing quality Manitoba Insurance products to a wide range of customers for over 50 years. Our client is dedicated to empowering their employees to challenge supporting the status quo through innovation, market penetration, and ultimately maximize the customer experience. Building trusted relationships with family, community and their clients are at the very core, and they are committed to serving them with the utmost integrity.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily commercial operations, including scheduling for optimal customer service and policy/procedure development.
· Ensure comprehensive understanding of relevant software.
· Build partnerships with insurers and external customers.
· Involve employees in policy/procedure updates; maintain a digital manual.
· Identify inefficiencies and collaborate with management to address them.
Office and Administration:
· Monitor updates on general insurance products and share with team members.
· Address breaches or performance concerns.
· Communicate payment and receivable issues with the finance team.
· Document key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage vacation/time-off requests.
· Provide emergency service support when needed.
Marketing/Promotions:
· Collaborate with marketing on social media and website content for commercial lines.
· Engage in marketing efforts and promotional events.
· Participate in planning and execution of company events.
Human Resources and Performance Management:
· Conduct regular check-ins with direct reports on team culture and workflows.
· Update job descriptions and set clear performance expectations.
· Provide monthly feedback on performance and address concerns as needed.
· Encourage team participation in activities and assist with recruitment.
· Report any incidents of harassment or workplace issues to the Operations Manager.
Education/Goals:
· Identify growth opportunities for team members through training and events.
· Ensure proper onboarding and training for new hires.
· Hold regular team meetings for cross-training and problem-solving.
· Track and support ongoing education and license renewals.
Requirements:
· Travel is seldom and primarily local during the business day, although some out of-area overnight travel may be expected
· Class 5 drivers license required
Qualifications:
· Level 3 general license with CAIB designation
· Graduate of post-secondary business education program preferred
· IWS Certification
· Demonstrate leadership and relationship building expertise
· Superior customer service and positive personality
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
· Exercises good judgement, reliability and adaptability
· Self-motivated, attention to detail, goal oriented and organized
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook
· Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently
