Business Development Representative

Our client is a EPCM company servicing some of the industry’s largest energy producers. This 25-year-old organization continues to grow and evolve in their scope and product/service offering.

They provide multi-disciplinary end to end design-build, retrofit, and maintenance solutions in industrial utility and fire protection systems. With offices in Fort McMurray and Edmonton, their dedicated team can move client’s projects from the planning phase to procurement, and then through construction and commissioning.

As a result of growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development/Sales Professional to join their team. They are seeking a confident, creative, growth mindset individual with sales of service experience in the industrial or construction industry.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Establishing new and maintaining existing, long-term client relationships
  • Developing territory strategic plan that includes researching market conditions, competitors; business potential, and strategy for targeting key accounts
  • Assist in building a new division (new business and grow market share)
  • Creation and maintenance of CRM
  • Attending company-sponsored events and trade shows as required
  • Working closely with the leadership team to achieve quarterly and annual objectives and KPIs
  • Visit prospective clients and conducting technical presentations on how company solutions will meet client needs
  • Work with multiple internal stakeholders on sale prospects

The successful candidate must have:

  • Great people skills with an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • The ability to connect and interact with current and potential clients
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel to conduct business to Northern Alberta, BC, and SK

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 7-10 years of business development and sales experience working with oil and gas or large commercial companies
  • Related experience with sales of services in fire protection and suppression, engineering design, maintenance and construction services, steel fabrication, underground repairs, weight and measurement
  • Can execute a sales system in a B2B environment
  • Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
  • Trades/CET/engineering education background will be considered an asset
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other social media platform for business
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and CRM

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $100,000-$120,000 commensurate upon experience in addition to a variable bonus/commission program in addition to a comprehensive benefit program including RRSP
