Outside Sales Representative

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow an established account base while developing new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role directly contributes to expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and strengthening customer relationships through exceptional service and strong product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and grow sales within an established territory.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business with existing customers and secure new accounts.
- Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, dealers, builders, renovators, developers, and other industry partners.
- Document customer interactions, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system, ensuring accurate pipeline management.
- Act as a brand ambassador within the territory, promoting products and services with professionalism and integrity.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and provide strong product knowledge support in day-to-day interactions.
- Maintain dealer samples and display materials throughout the territory.
- Promote and assist with the sell-through of clearance or priority products.
- Educate customers on product offerings, features, and value-added services.
- Travel daily within the territory to ensure consistent customer contact and support.
- Establish daily priorities to consistently achieve positive territory growth.
- Collaborate with the A&D team to identify and pursue new opportunities and focus projects within the region.
- Participate in industry events, customer functions, and trade shows.
- Assist the Branch Manager in developing an annual territory budget.
- Conduct quarterly customer reviews to assess needs, performance, and opportunities.
- Uphold company values by acting with professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education is an asset; however, strong consideration will be given to relevant industry experience.
- Experience in flooring, interior building products, or related industries is considered a strong asset. Exposure to the A&D community in working with contractors and end users a definite asset
- Solid technical aptitude with the ability to learn and retain product information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills and confidence in delivering product information to customers.
- Ability to travel overnight for business as required (approximately 10–20%).
Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary of $50K in addition to an uncapped commission program targeting first year earnings at $110K+, a vehicle allowance program as well as a comprehensive benefit program is also included.
